A photovoltaic cathodic protection system for an underground pipeline in Zimbabwe.
Abstract
A cathodic protection system for a 25 km long underground steel pipeline in Harare, Zimbabwe, using photovoltaic power source, is described. The calculated optimum spacing of the generators is found to be 3.7 km and the corresponding optimum system cost is 17,250. (A)
