PHOTOVOLTAIC CATHODIC PROTECTION SYSTEM FOR AN UNDERGROUND PIPELINE IN ZIMBABWE.
Abstract
A cathodic protection system for a 25km long underground steel pipeline in Harare, Zimbabwe, using photovoltaic power source, is described. The calculated optimum spacing of the generators is found to be 3. 7km and the corresponding optimum system cost is 17,250.
