Using sizphot to solve engineering problems. Sizing of stand-alone photovoltaic power systems
Abstract
It is perhaps axiomatic to state that, for both engineering and economic reasons, a photovoltaic (PV) power system should be optimally sized. Many of the sizing methods in use today are either too simplistic or overly complicated. The present work describes the main steps of a computer program, SIZPHOT, whose basis is an 'intermediate level' sizing method. A design example is given to illustrate the use of SIZPHOT.
