ABC (adventures in bifurcations and chaos): A program for studying chaos
Abstract
"Adventures in Bifurcations and Chaos" (ABC) is a user-friendly program for IBM-compatible PCs which has been designed for exploring bifurcations and chaos in the Chua oscillator paradigm. ABC calculates and draws equilibrium points, eigenvalues, eigen-spaces and trajectories. A two-dimensional projection of the three-dimensional dynamics is shown in a state space plot while the corresponding time waveforms are simultaneously displayed in a time-domain window. The software includes an extensive database of sets of initial conditions and parameters which produce many dynamical behaviors which have been reported for Chua's oscillator: equilibrium points, bifurcation sequences, periodic orbits, homoclinic and heteroclinic orbits and a plethora of chaotic attractors. © 1995.
