Potentiometric ion sensors: Host-guest supramolecular chemistry in ionophore- based ion-selective membranes
Abstract
Ion-selective potentiometry looks back more than a century, being among the earliest instrumental methods of analysis. Its very beginning is marked by fundamental contributions on understanding the electrode potential of electrodes of the first and second kind as well as the potential difference arising at the interface.
