On the semigroup of linearized forced elongation
Abstract
In this note we analyze the linearized equations of forced elongation. We prove that solutions of these equations are given by a quasi-contraction C0-semigroup on the physically correct state space L1(0,1) and that the semigroup is eventually differentiable. © 2004 Elsevier Ltd.
