Probabilistic discrete wavelet approximation

Abstract

Let For f, there exist linear wavelet operators Lk(F, x) which are also distribution functions and where the defining mother wavelet is (x). These approximate F(x) in the Lp(R)-norm. The degree of this approximation is estimated by establishing an Lp-Jackson type inequality. © 1992, Taylor & Francis Group, LLC. All rights reserved.
