Detection of free radicals in photopolymerization process of non-cell adhesive layers
Abstract
Free radicals during photopolymerization of the series of terpolymer (TP) was studied. Preliminary ESR data indicated that the polymerization reaction in the terpolymer is most likely initiated by the propagating radicals in HPOEM monomers. The ESR signal intensity in the TP or monomer HPOEM increased to a maximum and then began to decrease. Visible mark of solidification at surfaces where the light struck through the optical grids of the cavity were also observed on the two samples, TP and HPOEM, which produced free radicals.
