Ultrafast room-temperature single photon source with plasmonic nanocavities
Abstract
A single quantum dot coupled to a metallic cavity acts as a directional, efficient, and ultrafast single photon source with a spontaneous emission lifetime of 13 ps, corresponding to a Purcell factor of 540.
