Abstract
The January 2025 edition of the UofM Graduate School Blog launches the Spring Mastering Graduate School Workshop Series—an empowering lineup of virtual sessions designed to guide current and prospective students through topics such as housing, mentorship, resume building, international student success, and alumni insights. This issue also features inspiring student stories, including PhD student Bloo Mitchell, recipient of a prestigious NSF Graduate Research Fellowship, and MFA candidate Sabrina Spence, whose creative and personal journey brought her full circle to UofM. Additionally, the blog celebrates major economic news with the $9M expansion of Reconext into Memphis, bringing 200+ new jobs and reinforcing the city’s reputation as a thriving hub for innovation, sustainability, and graduate opportunity.
