Abstract

The August 2025 edition of the UofM Graduate School Blog delivers inspiration, insights, and community news for graduate students. Dr. Deborah Tollefsen, Vice Provost and Dean, examines the real value of a master’s degree pairing national labor statistics with a thoughtful exploration of professional growth, personal transformation, and lifelong connections. The issue also welcomes Dr. Robbie Salters as Associate Dean and Director of Graduate Admissions, shares student spotlight stories like MFA candidate Sabrina Spence’s journey, and promotes upcoming events including Virtual Orientation and Graduation Prep sessions.
