Abstract
This thesis is in the form of a novella and is told as six different parts of young Lola's life. The story follows her as she learns to navigate her magical ability, the Slips, which allow her to travel into the memories of others when she touches photographs. The novella explores the concept of anxiety throughout, and, at the end, radical acceptance. I used inspiration from my family photos and therapy sessions, as well as researched radical acceptance, grief, and empathy. I wanted to demonstrate for the audience the unspoken struggles of anxiety and how it can affect a person's relationships and world view. I hope that readers who struggle with anxiety finish the story with a feeling of hope for the future and acceptance of themselves.
