Abstract
Digital media platforms are rapidly becoming the primary site for news consumption in the United States as traditional forms of media like radio and newspapers fall to the wayside. However, research has found that Americans trust information less if it is transferred over the Internet. If Americans are accessing more of their news online, and they find it less credible, how does it affect how they perceive truth in the media? This project aims to confirm how college students access news media and to explore their perceptions of news in their lives.
