Abstract

Contained in this thesis are a poem and two short stories. I have tried to make all of them as different as possible. However, to tie them all together, there is a character and a particular situation which is present in each of these works. Other than this character and particular situation, these works are completely unrelated. This recurring character is a little girl who was stillborn. She touches the lives of people in all three works. The poem is about the birth of the little girl; the first short story is a Christmas story in which she makes a small appearance; and she makes an appearance as a slightly older child in the second story, which is set during an apocalypse of sorts.
