Abstract
The Residence Life Program for The University of Memphis contracts with EBI to conduct a survey every two years to analyze aspects of the program. The main effectiveness is quantified using inappropriate analysis, when more powerful and appropriate techniques are readily available. In addition the sampling methodology employed does not follow the best practices used to minimize introduction of bias. Improvements in sampling and analysis would provide better means for the Residence Life Program to use the results of the survey in order to provide the best services for the students at The University of Memphis.
