Abstract

This thesis looks into the topic of sport rivalry and explains how it can affect fans both positively and negatively. It also details the process of making a documentary on that topic. Rivalries are inevitable in sports. They are complex and can potentially lead to violence. Correctly regulated rivalries and managed perceptions of rivals are the keys to safe environments for any competition.
