Abstract
Felt report on the December 16, 1811 earthquake from Frankfort, Kentucky. “On Monday morning last, at about half past tow o'clock, the shock of an Earthquake was very sensibly felt in this place, which lasted about two minutes. A little after 3 o'clock it was again slightly felt, and between seven and eight o'clock it was again slightly felt, and between seven and eight o'clock there were two more shocks, but neither of them so severe as the first, it shook the houses so as to cause as very considerable alarm lest they should fall, and some bricks were thrown off the tops of chimneys by it.”

Frankfort K. December 18. EARTHQUAKE. On Monday morning last, at about half past two o'clock; the shock of an Earthquake was very sensibly felt in this place, which lasted about two minutes. A little after 8 o'clock it was again slightly felt, and between seven and eight o'clock there were two more shocks, but neither of them so severe as the first, it shook the houses so as to cause a very considerable alarm lest they should fall, and some bricks were thrown off the tops of chimneys by it.
