Abstract
Felt report for the January 23, 1812 earthquake from Alexandria, Virginia. Time of the earthquake was 9:20 am(local time). The duration of the quake was 20 seconds and effect were noted to be the same as for the December 16, 1811 earthquake. Direction of the quake was from Southwest to Northeast.
Transcript
The shock of another earthquake was felt yesterday morning, 20 minutes after 9 o'clock, as sensibly as on the late occurrence of it, with similar effects. Its continuance was about 20 seconds, and its direction from S. W. to N. E.
