Abstract
Felt report for the January 23, 1812 earthquake from Raleigh, North Carolina. Notes that the earthquake was felt in Virginia, North and South Carolina and Georgia. Was noted to be equal in force to the December 16, 1811 earthquake.
Transcript
The Earthquake which was felt in this city on Thursday week, was likewise felt in many other parts of this State, in Virginia, S. Carolina and Georgia. In several towns from which we have heard, the shock was as violent as that which occurred in December.
