Transcript
WE perceive by the last papers, that shocks of an earthquake have been felt in different parts of Virginia, on Long-Island in New-York state, and in Salem in Massachusetts, as well as in the Orleans and Natches territories, so that 'tis probable that every part of this immense continent, has experienced, or will soon experience in some degree, the effects of this astonishing phenomenon.
