Statement of how the steamboat New Orleans performed on a trip to Houmas, Louisiana, average speed was 3 miles and hour and time of travel for 75 miles was 21 hours.

STEAM BOAT. This vessel set out for Natchez on Thursday last for her first time, more for experiment than for emolument.-From a gentleman passenger, of correct information, we are enabled to state, that she can stem the current at a rate of upwards of three miles an hour-that she went from this city to the Homas, a distance of 75 miles, in 21 hours.
