Abstract
Short notice that the steam boat New Orleans was near Ft. Adams, Mississippi and had broken one of her two paddle wheels. It implies that the boat was a side wheeler. No information or notice of the earthquakes.
Transcript
The Steam Boat was at Fort Adams, 50 miles below Natchez, on her way up, on Saturday last. Her detention, we learn, was occasioned by breaking one of the wheels.
