Introduction
Abstract
This chapter reviews briefly the idea of quantization noise shaping in delta-sigma modulation systems. We use a simulation example to explain the fundamental problem resulting from short cycle lengths in digital delta-sigma modulators, namely that short cycles produce strong tones in the power spectrum. We conclude by outlining the contributions of this book in addressing this problem.
