Description
"The Peace Corps' School Partnership Program began in 1964 as a major international self-help program. Under this program the Peace Corps makes it possible for a United States school to sponsor the building of a school overseas. The American school raises approximately $1,000 - $1,500, the amount estimated as necessary for the purchase of construction materials in most cases. This handbook answers some of the questions most frequently asked by school groups or organizations interested in taking part in the program and describes the methods used to raise money by some of the more than 500 schools that have participated." -- [p.2]
