As Tennessee's first state agency, the Tennessee Department of Agriculture (TDA) is tasked with promoting responsible uses of its agricultural and forest resources, developing economic opportunities, and ensuring safe, dependable food, fuel, and fiber.
The department is divided into six major program areas: Administration, Forestry, Consumer and Industry Services, Animal Health, Technical Services, and Business Development.
