The Department of General Services (DGS) supports other departments and agencies by managing the essential operations of Tennessee State Government. Unlike most State agencies, DGS does not deliver services directly to citizens—instead, it enables other departments to fulfill their missions more effectively by providing infrastructure, resources, and operational support.
