The Department of Disability and Aging (DDA) is the state agency responsible for administering services and supports for Tennesseans with intellectual and developmental disabilities and older adults.
In 2023, the department expanded to provide services to children from birth up to age five with disabilities or developmental delays through Tennessee Early Intervention Services (TEIS), and children under the age of 18 with disabilities or complex medical needs through the Katie Beckett Program.
