Abstract

In this December volume 2, we highlight the significance of Commencement as one of the most meaningful moments in the academic year at the University of Memphis—a time to reflect on and celebrate student achievement. This season recognized graduates across all levels of higher education, including 600 master’s degree recipients, 198 graduate certificate earners, 97 doctoral and juris doctorate graduates, and 1,350 undergraduates. Each accomplishment represents years of dedication, perseverance, and personal growth, supported by families, faculty, and the broader campus community. Together, these graduates embody the transformative power of higher education, with stories of resilience and determination that underscore the lasting impact of this milestone.
