Abstract

This issue highlights the University of Memphis Graduate School’s commitment to supporting student success year-round. We feature Dr. Deborah Tollefsen’s reflection where she examines how financial, housing, childcare, and engagement challenges can affect graduate student persistence. We also celebrate recent graduates, promote the Graduate Student Dissertation Writers Retreat and 2026 Graduate Student Orientation, and highlight scholarships and dissertation completion grants that can help students advance their academic and professional goals. Additionally, we spotlight Memphis events and resources that can help enrich graduate student experience.
