Abstract
Introduction: Understanding perceptions of registered nurses and nursing students towards advanced technology and artificial intelligence (AI) in clinical care and education is crucial. This literature review investigates existing literature on nurses' and nursing students' attitudes towards advanced technology and AI in nursing. Methods: Nine peer-reviewed studies published between 2017-2022 were reviewed. Results: Findings revealed positive perceptions, such as improved patient care, efficiency, and reduced human error, but also concerns about job displacement, loss of human touch, and ethical/legal issues. Discussion: Incorporating advanced technology into nursing education and training programs is important. Further research is needed to better understand perceptions and attitudes towards advanced technology in nursing, and to develop effective integration strategies.
