Press release attached: "Edward R. Dudley (center), former U.S. Ambassador to Liberia, is welcomed back to the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People by Dr. Channing H. Tobias (right), chairman of the board of directors, and Walter White, executive secretary. On January 1, Mr. Dudley assume position of special assistant in charge of the Association's Fight for Freedom. Prior to his State Department appointment in 1948, he was an NAACP assistant special counsel."
