Description
Image of a man, frightened, standing on a chair. Across his stomach, "Anti-Suffs" is written. Below the chair stands a mouse with a tag tied to its tail that reads, "Negro women vote." The caption below reads, "Horribly Frightened!" This image was cropped out of the Commercial Appeal newspaper of Memphis and was used in the Exhibit, "Suffrage First: Tennessee Women and the Right to Vote."
