Description
Automobiles traveling down a flooded road in Memphis, Tennessee, during the 1927 Mississippi River flood. The photographer may have been Orville F. Long whose name is printed on the return address of the envelope the prints were received in. An electrical engineer who worked for the Fisher Lumber Company, between Thomas Street and Second Street near the Wolf River, Long was its powerhouse superintendent in 1930.
