Description
Construction of the new concrete vehicle viaduct on the Arkansas side of the Harahan Bridge to replace the wooden one built over twenty years earlier, 1929. The bridge over the Mississippi River opened in 1916 and connected Memphis, Tennessee, with Arkansas, carrying both rail and vehicular traffic. Photographer: Bolton, 119 Madison Avenue, Memphis.
