Description
Copy photograph of sternwheelers "Sadie Lee" and "Harry Lee" of the Lee Line on the Mississippi Riverfront at Memphis, Tennessee, undated (circa 1910). The "Sadie Lee" was built in 1901 and sank after hitting a snag sailing between Vicksburg and Memphis in 1912. The "Harry Lee" was built in 1899 as the "City of Wheeling" and burned at Memphis in 1914. The men standing on the cotton bales may be Robert E. Lee (middle) and his brothers Shelby Rees Lee and James Lee III.
