Description
Dealer New Car Planning Committee, Memphis, Tennessee, May 10, 1938. The photographer was Goodman Commercial Photographers, Loews Palace Theater Building, Memphis. A faded page attached to the print identifies the committee as Group No. 4 and the participants are apparently Chevrolet dealers. Most of the individuals’ names are illegible but their dealerships or location can mostly be indentified: (l-r): ___ Chevrolet Company, Van Buren, Ark.; City Motor Company, Fulton, Ky.; Haney? Chevrolet Company, Oxford, Miss.; ____ Chevrolet Company, Memphis, Tenn.; Assistant Zone Manager in charge of new cars, Memphis Zone; Mr. Young, Young Chevrolet Company, Hope, Ark.; Clark (or Clary?) James Motor Company, Clarksville, Ark.; Secretary; Riverside? Chevrolet Company, Batesville, Miss.; Paragould Motor Company, Paragould, Ark.; Mr. Carter, Carter Chevrolet Company, Lexington, Miss. It is noted that Mr. Whittington of Whittington Chevrolet Company, Miss., was not present for the photograph.
