Description

The Hansonhurst Creamery was established by Charles Clinton Hanson (1867-1952) at his 2000-acre property on Rosemark Road about 25 miles northeast of Memphis in 1922. Included a store, cotton gin and community hall with a view to creating an ideal farming community. Venture failed with the Great Depression and was sold in 1930.
