Description
The original building occupied by Burkle's Bakery at 840 North Second Street, Memphis, Tennessee, photographed in 1977 by Gary Nichols. Herman Burkle moved from this site in 1936 to 2125 Madison Avenue, where the restaurant became a Memphis institution run by his children until it closed in 1976.
