Poem by Mable Wagner to John Wilson Hillard, circa 1909
Handwritten poem from Mable Wagner to John Wilson Hilliard titled "If you cared for me". A note from Mable at the end of the poem states that it was "Written before 1909 after one of our misunderstandings." A later note from Mable's daughter, Marguerite, says the poem was likely copied as her mother "never once wrote poetry in the 66 years she knew her".
