Photograph identified on verso as Mary Donelson Coffee but no other information is given. Two women who had this name lived into the photography era: Mary Donelson Coffee (1793-1871), the wife of John Coffee (1772-1833). The other possibility is Mary Narcissa Brahan Coffee Young (1817-1893), the widow of John Donelson Coffee (1815-1837).
