Description
Dewey Phillips was one of rock and roll's pioneering disc jockeys. Phillips, along with his colorful personality and wild behavior, transcended racial boundaries and played black and white music on his show. He was the first person to play Elvis Presley recordings on the radio, effectively launching Elvis' career.
