Copy of a Joseph V. De La Hunt letter written in November 1909 from Vicksburg, Mississippi, to Congressman Benjamin Humphries of the House of Representatives Committee on Rivers and Harbors.  De La Hunt expresses his concern that the Mississippi River is becoming shallower in part because its banks are collapsing and supports installing more revetments. Congressman Humphries' acknowledgment of November 25, 1909, is included.
