Description

Mailer pamphlet, “Spring 1929 Planting Guide & Catalog,” Bass Pecan Company, "The Largest Pecan Nursery in the World", Lumberton, Mississippi, 31 pages, 1929.

"In buying from Bass, you are not bartering with a backlot nurseryman, nor a fly-by-night nursery, nor a one-man, one-truck outfit that makes many claims and promises, and tells how much 'better' his trees are than ours, and makes guarantees that cannot be backed up financially or otherwise. You are dealing with a veritable institution. This nursery has 600 acres in orchards and nurseries. In all it has 6,000 acres, which contains land being held for continued development and enlargement. There are over 2,000,000 trees growing in our nursery.

Pecan trees are a lifetime business with us - twenty years old and young children growing up to carry on the name and reputation of the Bass Pecan Company."
