Description
A tintype of William (Willis) Stanton (1868-1872), the son of Griffin Augustus Stanton (1835-1889) of Johnson County, Illinois, and his wife Julia Ann(e) Levada Amburn Stanton (1842-1890) of Johnson County, Illinois, circa 1870. The tintype is from Griffin's Bible and is unidentified but the child's clothing is similar to that of the child in the family portrait of Griffin, Julia and William on the same page.
