Description

According to Jack Gates, this image shows recently-arrived Colonel Marion D. Unruh talking with fellow prisoners at Rokuroshi prisoner of war camp, Fukui Prefecture, Japan. Unruh was shot down over New Guinea on December 30, 1943, and captured by the Japanese. He was sent to Japan and became the senior officer at Rokuroshi camp.
