B/w photograph of the Japanese Garden in Overton Park, Memphis, Tennessee, taken by Mary Ardenne Hinson, circa 1919. The photograph is from an album kept by Mary Ardenne Hinson between 1913 and 1920.
The Japanese Garden contained Japanese lanterns, carved statues and even a fake Mt. Fujiyama. It was dismantled in the 1940s due to rising anti-Japanese sentiment.
