Description

In 1978, Memphis-based architectural photographer Alan Karchmer held an exhibition at the Brooks Memorial Art Gallery, Memphis, Tennessee, titled "Time & Place: A Review of Memphis Architecture." Among the 32 panels, eight introduced the exhibit and the periods of architectural history in the city that Karchmer illustrated with his photographs. Also included is an example of one of the panels of photographs that was used in the exhibit.
