Description
975 Peabody, Memphis, Tennessee. Built around 1895. Photographer: Alan Karchmer. © Alan Karchmer.
Irregularity in plan and massing and variety of color and texture characterize the Queen Anne Style. Clapboarding is used in conjunction with scalloped shingles. The high and multiple roofs and prominent turrets, combined with the great variety in shape and size of windows, affect an appearance that is both massive and dainty.
