Description
A draft letter to Tennessee Senator Albert Gore, Washington, D.C., from the Citizens to Preserve Overton Park, and Chairman, Mrs. Ralph W. Handy (Marie Handy), Memphis, Tennessee, 1964 June 19. Marie wrote notes on the letter, including one she wrote three times, that says, "same letter to Senator Walters." The letter was regarding "the proposed six-lane coast-to-coast U.S. Interstate 40 highway with its cloverleaf, going through or in any part of Overton Park."
