Description

Copy of an 18-page memoir of Adolphus Wiley Montague (1835-1917) of Ripley, Tennessee, who served in the 7th Tennessee Cavalry Regiment during the Civil War. The memoir was dictated to his niece Lizzie in 1912. Also included is a copy of Montague's pension application from 1906 and an introductory note by James E. Montague. The date of Adolphus' death given by James Montague was taken from the gravestone which is inaccurate.
